Adler in 1926 for Chicago plumbing magnate, Richard T. Crane, Jr.,
features include wood carvings by 17th Century craftsman Grinling
Gibbons and bathrooms embellished with sterling silver fixtures and
Italian marble. The estate was bequeathed in 1949 to The Trustees of
Reservations, a non-profit conservation organization which preserves
properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in
Massachusetts.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this piece will be donated to
The Trustees of Reservations.
