Originally a Unitarian Church, the building was purchased by the Town of
Ipswich in 1833. In the late 1800’s, the structure was moved back 20
feet and lifted to make way for a new first floor. While the interior
has undergone numerous changes, the exterior has remained virtually
unchanged since.
